The Tampa Heights Civic Association (THCA) is excited to announce open nomintions for our Board member positions. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in our neighborhood by helping guide our association in the year ahead.

 Board Position Descriptions

  • Leads all board meetings and serves as THCA’s chief executive. Note that nominees for President will need to have served at least one year on the THCA Board prior.

  • Assists the President and fills in when needed.

  • Supports the President and 1st Vice President.

  • Manages meeting notices and maintains official THCA records.

  • Oversees official communications, social media, and marketing.

  • Handles financial affairs, reports, and maintains member records.

  • Ensures meetings follow THCA bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order.

  • Advocate for their specific quadrant of Tampa Heights.

Nomination Process

Nominate Candidates: 

We are currently accepting nominations. You have until the November general meeting (Wednesday, Nov. 20) to submit nominations to the election committee by way of email to 
tampaheightscivicassociation@gmail.com.

Nominee Requirements: 

Nominees who are not already serving on the board should submit a one-page bio or vitae by the December board meeting to confirm their place on the slate.

Nominees for President will have served at least one year on the THCA Board of Directors. The one-page bio or vitae should also be sent to 
tampaheightscivicassociation@gmail.com.

Voting Date: 

Elections will be held during the January general meeting.
 

Election Details

Ballots: 

Eligible members will receive ballots on the night of the election. Absentee ballots are accepted if submitted to the election committee by the day of the election.

Voting Area: 

To ensure accurate representation, voting will take place in a designated area. Only those present within this area may vote for their nominated representatives to the board.
