| Porch Parties are
filling up! |
| Porch parties are back on track. We will
be having them year round once a month on the first Friday of every month.
Next Party is Friday March 5, 2010
looking for a host.
Click here to see the porch party schedule
If you are interested in hosting a porch party Please sign
up via email to
webmaster@tampaheights.org, or at the next civic association meeting.
All residents of Tampa Heights are welcome to this unique
on-going tradition of Tampa Heights. Children are residents too and
are most certainly welcome but please keep an eye on them at guests homes.
The host provides paper goods, sodas, ice, a covered dish
and of course the porch. Guests bring a covered dish (with any serving
utensils) and own alcoholic beverages.

| How to Contact
City Government |
|
The City of Tampa’s Neighborhood and
Community Relations Office is available to help you navigate your way
through city government. With over 34 departments and nearly 5,000
employees, the task of determining which department to call first is
sometimes overwhelming for residents. Our office is available to help
connect you to the appropriate city department; provide contact information;
or input your question, concern or suggestion directly into Tampa’s on-line
Customer Service Center. We can be reached at (813) 274-7835, and I
encourage you to call. Please be sure to also visit our website
www.tampagov.net/neighborhoods to learn more about your neighborhood.

| Goodsearch.com |
|
What if Tampa Heights Civic Association earned a penny every
time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can!
GoodSearch.com is a
new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search,
to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any
search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results.
Just go to
www.goodsearch.com
and be sure to enter Tampa Heights Civic Association as the charity you want
to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300
in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word! |
