Thank you so much for making this years Tampa Heights Tour of Homes an overwhelming success. Hundreds of people attended and thousands of dollars were raised to help complete the renovation of the Tampa Heights Youth and Community Center. Many of you helped run the event, participated in the tour, and marketed it to your friends. This event was a success because of you!
Tampa Heights Youth and Community Center
Things are moving into high gear to get the center opened soon. The handicap ramp is just being completed and there are all types of improvements are being done regularly now. Stay tuned for some official announcements very soon.
Richard Gonzmart (Columbia Restaurant) has started the $4 million renovation of the Waterworks Building into Ulele Restaurant. The restaurant will overlook the river and Waterworks Park, which is also undergoing a renovation. For more information, click here.

Upcoming Tampa Heights Civic Association Meetings
General Meeting Dates for 2014:
All Tampa Heights residents are welcome to attend. General Meetings in Jan - Oct are held on the 4th Thursday of the month. In Nov & Dec the general meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The Board Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Location: Hillsborough County Bar Association (also known as Chester Ferguson law Center) located at 1610 North Tampa Street. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m.
The City of Tampa has started improving Waterworks Park and it will be transformed into a beautiful asset for the City and Tampa Heights. $5M has been allocated for the park's renovation and it really will create a one of the premier parks in Tampa. Waterworks Park will become the northern terminus of the Riverwalk which also recently received funding to complete the entire stretch down to Channelside. Tampa Heights Community Garden
Yoga in the Garden takes place regularly on Sunday at 9:30am (check their facebook page for schedule) - bring your a mat, towel, blanket and some water. Yoga is to be followed by a community work day.
The community garden (located at 605 E. Frances Ave) is up and running with 25 individual plots and 2 communal plots.
New plots will be available for the spring planting so reserve yours as soon as possible because there are a limited number.
Lee's Grocery is now serving pizza and has a wide selection of craft beers so stop by at the corner of Central Ave. & E. Frances between 11:30 am and 9:00 pm which are their normal hours.
300 East just opened and they sells decor with their shop located at the corner of Columbus and Morgan.
The Riverwalk now has the funding to be completed so look for a continuous path from Waterworks Park all the way to Channelside. The Riverwalk northern terminus will be Waterworks Park and Ulele Restaurant (currently under construction).
